Peter Finnemore is an artist working within photographic art, multi-media installation, performance and video. He was one of the first students at the new Fine Art Photography Course at the Glasgow School of Art in Scotland.

His first major exhibition was in 1986, where he participated in the New Contemporaries exhibition at the Institute of Contemporary Arts in London. He has since exhibited in solo and group exhibitions both nationally and internationally, including representing Wales at the 51st Venice Biennale in 2005.

Finnemore’s photographic artworks and films are included in a number of private and public collections around the world. He is a currently a Visiting Professor in Photography at the University of Derby and Researcher / Senior Lecturer in Celf a Dulynio / Art & Design at the University of Wales Trinity St David.
