Jona Frank was born in New Jersey in 1966 and studied film at USC in California. She is interested in how people learn to negotiate the world and find their place and group. Her photography mostly consists of portraiture and has been published in five books. Her recent work includes studies of young boxers in the North of England, students at a Republican Christian college and high school kids in the United States. Recipient of several awards and commissions, Frank’s work has been exhibited internationally and is in various public and private collections in Palm Springs, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Houston and Sacramento. She is an Adjunct Professor at the Art Center College of Design, Pasadena and lives in California, United States.
