Clémentine Schneidermann (b.1991 in Clamart) is a French photographer, who completed a Master in documentary photography at the University of South Wales, Newport in 2014.Prior to her studies, Clémentine has been living and working in France, Switzerland and the United Kingdom where she developped an interest for documentary photography and portraiture.Her projects are mainly based on her personal interest in groups of people, communities and the construction of identity. In 2014 she was awarded by Magnum Photos to complete her project I called her Lisa-Marie initially started in Wales to the United States. The work goes into the lives of Elvis Presley fans in South Wales where they gather during concerts, festivals (in Porthcawl) and also into their homes. The project has been awarded by SFR jeunes Talents/Paris Photos 2014, Magnum 30 under 30 2015, Photography Museum of Humanity Newcomer Award, and published in the New York Times among other magazines. She is also a member of the Independent AIR, a residency for emerging photographers in Denmark.
