Caitlin Rueter

Caitlin Rueter (b. 1978) lives and works in Toronto, Canada.

Reuter’s work is built on the layering and assemblage of materials, in service of, or in dialogue with a specific historical narrative. Her practice takes various forms, including photo-based assemblage, video, and printmaking. In addition to her studio practice, Rueter has been engaged in a long-running, collaborative public performance project. In each of these practices, Rueter draws on historical imagery to create narratives. The artist is represented by bildkultur galerie in Stuttgart, Germany, and O’Born Contemporary in Toronto, Canada. She received an MFA from Parsons the New School for Design in 2009. Rueter’s work is exhibited internationally.
